Feel Like a Prisoner of Money?

Prisoner of Money

Feel Like a Prisoner of Money?  It’s Time for a Talk – With Money!

When you think about money, taxes, bills, how do you feel?

Tense ball in the base of your gut?  Not exactly liberating, is it.  Besides the clear stress this indicates, this is a symptom of holding energy that is repellent to more money coming in.

Whoa!

But, wait, I mean, money’s a problem sooooo why wouldn’t I feel stress?  It’s honest. Money’s tight!

Actually, it isn’t a problem.  Money isn’t tight either.

Think about it.  There are trillions and trillions of money bills in the world:  dollars, yen, marks and so on.  Many trillions of them. So, money isn’t short or tight.

And drilling into this further, money actually isn’t a problem.โ€‹  Pull a bill out of your wallet.  Look at it.  Spot the problem in that money?  Yes right, there isn’t a problem.  It’s a piece of paper.

All right, you’re likely catching my line here.

Money itself is just a thng.  It’s actually neutral.  It has no feeling for you or anyone else.  It’s a trading tool, nothing more. Symbolic paper.

Now, how money is used as a weapon of control and advantage is another matter and can be quite dark.  But here, we aren’t talking about how the world uses money.  We’re talking about how each of us thinks about it for ourselves.

And the limiting factor is, we are often thiinking about money as a scarce commodity when, in fact, it is not.  We think of and speak of money being a problem when we feel we don’t have enough of it.  What we mean is our lack of money is a problem.

Here’s the kicker that has to change

Dollar Dream on Fire

How we THINK about money is signaling to everything around us.

When we say to ourselves “money is a problem”, that sends  a negative message about money. It actually repels more money!

Even if we feel that our dollar dream is on fire financially, finding a way to avoid saying “money is a problem” is vital.  We don’t want to signal that we don’t want money!

Sure, it’s true to say our X,Y&Z isn’t fully working “yet”.  That’s honest.  Then say “I invite further abundance in that domain”.  Now our statements are neutral or positive which is much more attractive.

Time to Talk to Money

Yes, now it’s time to talk to money.  Time to dive into the pit ball of gut stress.  Here’s how to do it.  Imagine taking an elevator down to where ever that stress ball is sitting.  Get out and just feel the sensation.  Don’t criticize yourself for having it or causing it, just feel it.  It’s a real experience.

Then,  see if you can find how long ago this feeling started building.  Often with money, we learned attitudes as children that we still carry today.  For example, “a good person has savings” or “a good person pays on time”.  See if there is a morality at play from long ago that today is trying to alert you that it thinks action is needed for YOUR best interests.  Yes, while the old attitude or morality lacks today’s context (in fact, may be a little child), it’s likely  trying to help you.  See if you can find out how it thinks it’s helping alert you and thank it for that help for all these years.

Whew, you’ll likely feel a weight shifting.  Woo woo.

Now, the stress will come back unless you also deal with the practical side too.  Got  a stack of bills?  Try to say thank you for each service provider or vendor in the stack and start paying them in whatever way you can.  In fact, pick your most stressful money area, dive into it and find a way to express gratitude while you work on a solution.  The solution will come much  more readily from gratitude than from stress!
